Brampton
Serving the Children of the World

Volunteer Recognition Dinner - May 31

Kiwanis for KidsKiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time.
For over 50 years, the Kiwanis Club of Brampton has been helping kids and their families in the local Brampton community and throughout the world.   We meet on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m.  Check the Meetings Page for more information.

Through various fund raising activities such as our TV auctions, a duck race on the river, and more recently our Celebrity Clowns involvement in the annual Brampton Santa Claus parade, we have been able to raise money to assist our many community partners who are helping kids.  These partners include United Achievers's Club (Youth Scholarships), Peel 4-H Association, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Peel, National Service Dogs, Habitat for Humanity, Buddys 'n Bows Foundation, Salvation Army Honeychurch Family Life Resource Centre, Peel Children's Safety Village, St. John's Ambulance, Peel Music Festival, food banks and breakfast programs, and various youth sports teams.

We not only provide financial support to our community partner organizations, we also provide leadership opportunities for children and teenagers through our school clubs such as Key Clubs (high school), Builders Clubs (middle school) and Circle K clubs (university).  We have fun together in our meetings and service projects and are making a difference in the Brampton community.

If you have a passion for helping children and for making Brampton an even better place for families to live, then you will want to consider being involved with others who are excited about making an impact on the lives of children and on our city.  Please contact us so that we can talk further about how you can make a difference!

As Kiwanians, we focus on personal leadership and character development that leads to life changing service; teaching it to young people and building it up in adults.

On September 15, 2011, our club donated a van to the Salvation Army's
Honeychurch Family Life Resource Centre for use in their children's program.
